Why are so many people very judgmental over younger men/older women relationships?

My ex was younger than me and when we were together we were very happy. I took crap from everyone about his age. It was irritating, but when people saw us together and saw that we were happy they left us alone. Just ignore them and be confident in your relationship. That's the only thing you can do.
