Current climate in the uk?

my job relies on work from the construction industry. november was a quite month but at the moment work is picking up. next year we will be working for insurance claims, as well as do drainage work. i was told that insurance company's wont be to much affected by the credit crunch, is this true.how is the construction industry looking right now.
