A serious question ... please help?

i have a 19 year old brother who severly suffers from acid reflux and needs tums and other products all the time to calm his stomach. he gets it everyday and when he goes to sleep and wakes up he needs the medicine fast..but as some of you may know, the medicine from the local walgreens or genovese starts to stop working. its become serious ..and heres the problem. my brother refuses to go to the doctor. hes said before that he knows that acid reflux will be the end of him, he says it jokingly yet i dont want it to reach that point. we cant drive him there and pretend were going somewhere else like hes 15 because since my brother is 19 years old, he drives everywhere himself and never drives with the family anywhere.he also knows its serious yet he will not go. hes very afraid to find out what has happened to his stomach/espohagus and is even more scared to have a camera down his throat to check it..please please tell me, how can we get my brother to the doctor.thank you for answering
