Help!!! My Husband just found out he has shingles?

I have an 8 Month old son who has not had Chicken Pox and did not get a vaccination for it . I'm Worried that he could catch it from dad. Can he catch Chicken Pox or Shingles from dad??? Dad just got medication today from the doctor and is coming home but I'm so worried about my son!!! Does anyone know about Shingles???
